Delete your Bobine account
How to request deletion
Bobine is a private photo-sharing app for families. If you want your account and all associated data permanently removed, send a request to the developer.
Prefer to download a copy of your data first instead of (or before) deleting it? GDPR article 15 gives you that right free of charge — same email address, just write "Bobine data export request" in the subject. We send a ZIP of your photos and a JSON file with your account metadata within 30 days.

Include : the phone number you used to sign in (so we can identify your account)
We will process your request and confirm completion by email within 30 days of receipt, in line with GDPR and CCPA requirements.
What gets deleted
When we process your deletion request, we permanently remove:
- Your phone number and Firebase Authentication record
- Your first name, profile photo, and any other profile information
- All photos you have uploaded to any family group (image blobs in Cloudflare R2 plus metadata)
- Your push notification subscription (so you stop receiving Bobine notifications immediately)
- Your family memberships (your name disappears from the family roster of every group you belonged to)
- Your session tokens on every signed-in device
What is kept (and why)
For legitimate operational reasons, the following limited data is retained:
- Anonymous, aggregated usage counters (e.g. total monthly app opens, total family-creation events). These contain no identifier that can be linked back to you. Retention: indefinite.
- Anti-abuse logs from Cloudflare and Firebase (IP-based rate-limit records, fraud-detection signals). These are controlled by those sub-processors per their own retention policies and not accessible from the Bobine application. Retention: typically 90 days.
Family group content created by others
Photos that other family members uploaded to groups you belonged to are not deleted when you leave or delete your account — those photos belong to their respective posters. If you want a specific photo removed that another member shared, contact us at dimittrichoudhury.dc@gmail.com and we will work with you and the original poster.
Partial data deletion (without account deletion)
If you want to delete specific data without deleting your account (e.g. remove a single photo you uploaded, or change your name), you can do that directly inside the Bobine app — no email required. For anything not surfaced in the in-app settings, contact us and we will handle it within 30 days.
Re-creating an account later
After deletion you may sign up again with the same or a different phone number. A new account is treated as a fresh user with no prior history.
